Speedtest NL

Benchmark and test the performance of your server through our official speedtest server.

Introduction

Welcome to the speedtest service of NovoServe! Our speedtest service allows users to check their network speed and connectivity to our servers in the Netherlands and the US. This tool is primarily designed for our dedicated server and bare metal hosting customers to validate their available bandwidth, but we are also happy to serve users froms all over the world. Anyone worldwide can use it to measure their download speed, latency, and network routing performance.

This server is directly connected to the backbone via a 40 Gbit link in Schiphol-Rijk, Amsterdam (AS24875), ensuring low-latency, high-speed connections. If you would like do the speedtest with our US server, please go to Speedtest US.

HTTP

Files are directly served out of a ramdisk.

wget -4 -O /dev/null http://speedtest.novoserve.com/files/1GB.binClick to copy
wget -4 -O /dev/null http://speedtest.novoserve.com/files/10GB.binClick to copy

iPerf

We encourage our customers to validate their bandwidth using iPerf3. Speedtest.net is not the correct way to validate your bandwidth. You may use the following commands:

iperf3 -4 -c speedtest.novoserve.com -p 5201 -P 4Click to copy
iperf3 -6 -c speedtest.novoserve.com -p 5206 -P 4Click to copy

Or using -R reverse mode (server sends, client receives):

iperf3 -4 -c speedtest.novoserve.com -p 5201 -P 4 -RClick to copy
iperf3 -6 -c speedtest.novoserve.com -p 5206 -P 4 -RClick to copy

Ports available for testing are 5201 to 5206. Note: If you are trying to test the absolute maximum throughput of your connection towards our network, pay attention to the "Retr" Column. If this number stays below 10, you can try increasing the number behind -P (to for example: 8).
