Software Developer

NovoServe provides hosted dedicated servers to its customers, from multiple data centers in the Netherlands. We are a fast-growing company with an informal atmosphere and international ambitions. We invest heavily in automation in order to scale up quickly and serve our customers optimally. To enable our rapid growth, we develop our own systems for IaaS services. For example, we build our own systems to manage thousands of servers and offer our own API that allows our customers to use our services even easier and faster.

As a software developer at NovoServe, you will be part of a small, enthusiastic and experienced team of developers. In this team you will develop the back-end for our internal management systems and the customer interfaces for our more than 7000 servers.

• Based on functional requirements (user stories) you design and build technical solutions.
• Together with colleagues from the team, you bear responsibility for the quality of our software by, for example, doing reviews, proposing refactoring, and further improving our CI/CD.
• As a member of the agile team you will also contribute to technical and process improvements to make your work better and more fun.

We are looking for an experienced software developer with extensive experience in modern, object-oriented PHP. You are familiar with PHP frameworks, such as Symfony and Laravel. Furthermore, you have in-depth knowledge of SQL databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. In addition, you have experience in working with Git.

Your good English and preferably Dutch communication skills come in handy when consulting with your colleagues (both verbally and in writing). You are independent and accurate in your work, but you are also a team player.

What else we like to see in return is:

• hbo working and thinking level, by your education or by experience. Diploma is allowed but not required.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML/CSS/Javascript;
• experience with other programming languages such as Python or Go;
• familiarity with the WHMCS and/or EasyDCIM packages;
• experience with CI/CD and Docker.

• A salary up to € 5,000 gross per month (based on a 40-hour work week), depending on your knowledge and experience;
