What Are the Options for Private Networking and Interconnects?

Yes, NovoServe offers several options for creating secure, private connections between your servers. The best solution depends on the physical location of your servers.

1. Direct Physical Interconnect (Same Rack)

This is the most direct and highest-performance option available.

  • Requirement: Your servers must be located within the same physical rack in one of our data centers.

  • How it works: We create a direct physical cable connection between the network ports of your devices, establishing a completely private and isolated link.

In certain complex scenarios, a dedicated private switch may be required to facilitate your private networking needs. This would be determined during a technical consultation and would result in an additional monthly fee.

2. Private LAN (Multiple Racks or Data Centers)

This is the most flexible solution for creating a secure, private network across your entire infrastructure.

  • Requirement: Can be established between any of your NovoServe servers, even if they are in different racks or different data centers.

  • How it works: We configure a private virtual LAN (VLAN) for your servers. This logically isolates your traffic from the public internet and other customers, allowing your servers to communicate securely as if they were on the same local network.
